I have step throat.
Luke ran a fever again this weekend.
Henry is still constipated.
But did I ever mention that my sister is moving down here for at least six months starting in November? Really, that is what is keeping me going.
Now I'm off to sip soup and chant my little mantra: "Mara. Mara. Mara."

Aww...
I can't believe you guys want me there so much! Almost as much as I want to be there! When I am in Columbus, no one will ever get sick again, or hit again, or bite again, or cry again.
Basically, I am the solution to all of your problems.
Obviously.
Dear Ser,
I am so so so sorry you and Luke are sick! I know exactly how stinky and miserable that is. Please get yourself the ingredients for the following alcoholic beverage and be amazed by its warmth and throat soothing capabilities!
INGREDIENTS
* 1 teaspoon honey (or more)
* 2 fluid ounces boiling water
* 1 1/2 fluid ounces whiskey
* 3 whole cloves
* 1 cinnamon stick
* lots of real lemon juice
* 1 pinch ground nutmeg
DIRECTIONS
1. Pour the honey, boiling water, and whiskey into a mug. Spice it with the cloves and cinnamon, and squeeze in lemon. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes.
Think about your sister and all of the goodness and companionship she will bring with her this November!
Oh, no! I'm so sorry! I hope you weren't feeling bad the whole time you were here on Friday. I'm so glad you have Mara to look forward to. If you need anything at all, PLEASE call me!
Er...you were here Saturday. *slaps forehead*
Laughing because I thought the recipe above was going to say, mix ingredients, then finish the bottle of whiskey. Pour ingredients on children.
Feel better. And, Mara, get your butt down there! :)
i'm sorry to hear that you're sick...but i'm so glad you came to martha-lynn's on saturday. it was great to see you!
You are one sick family. Maybe Craig's coffee w/creamer and burrito diet isn't so crazy after all.
I think the drink recipe will work best if shared with fever and constipated.
How are you all feeling? Mom
