The Livin' Is Easy

I'm really too tired to write anything. It is summertime, you know. We are busy, busy, busy around here with lemonade, art and comic sales. I don't know if I'll make it for another week until we go on vacation.

Luke made 20 dollars in two hours, by the way. I think I should give up this writing thing. The money is in the lemonade, art and comics!

I love this awesome photo! I especially love how your house is framed behind Luke, and that he adds "art and comics" to the sale.

I would love to see his current work!

That's great! I take it Officer Fox didn't come by and buy some, nor comment on sales without a permit? :)

When it stops raining, the kids are totally having a lemonade and fudge sale. And I will sit on the porch and read a book.

I'm obsessed with how perfectly Luke is centered in this photo. That, and his "Salut!" pose. Both of these things combine to elevate the child-like innocence of the lemonade stand archetype into high art. It's as simple and yet as epistemologically challenging as a Necker cube.

Please raise a glass and "cheers" to Luke from me; thank you. I wish I could be there in person and even more, I wish we could join you in Alaska.

Maybe Officer Fox is hoping the profits will go toward Mercedes safety upgrades and that's why he's letting this permit-free stand slide. If Officer Fox googled himself, would he find these comments, I wonder?

Sweet picture and I love that your support of Luke's capitalist ways. Of course, he'll tithe his earnings, right? RIGHT?! (For those of you who don't know, I'm his godmother so it's my godly duty to yell spiritual guidance type things to Ser about Luke.)

Dude! Sam had the exact same thought - our kids made a passle on a stand a few weeks ago. And I hear you on the ugly car with expired plates thing - we have been getting away with it for too long now (Sam is getting nervous). But this is the south, where they don't really care much about enforcing things like this because it's too hot to bother.
